Fundraiser for Vice-Mayor Joyce Sutton Cameron

A Saturday October 17th fundraiser is planned for Joyce Sutton Cameron’s re-election campaign to continue her service to Trotwood’s ward #1. The big event, Jammin’ with Joyce, is an afternoon and evening with food, fun, and live music. Jazz artist Deron Bell will be the featured musician. Jammin’ with Joyce will be held at 147 E. Sunrise Ave in Old Town Trotwood. The event is scheduled 4-8 PM. A $10 donation is requested. Dinner will be served. This is a BYOB event for adults.

School, EMS, Fire, and Road Levies to be Discussed

The Trotwood Democratic Club meets this Thursday 7:00 pm at the TUCC 18 N. Broadway. Officials from the City of Trotwood and Trotwood Madison City Schools will present their cases for passing this falls levies. If the appraised value of your home is $100,000 passage of the city and schools levies combined would add an additional tax of $352.19 yearly or, put another way, less than an additional 96 cents a day.

Dems Make Endorsements for City Council

At the September meeting of the Trotwood Democratic Club a motion was passed to endorse city council candidates in wards I, II, and IV. Incumbents Vice- Mayor Joyce Sutton Cameron ward I and Rap Hankins ward II were endorsed as was new comer, James D “JD” Williams, in ward IV.
